Fresh Cuttings

June 2010

COME ON ENGLAND!
To get into the spirit of things in the studio, the new signed shirt from 15 current England squad members including David Beckham is now on show.

We thought it very apt to stick it next to the ‘Keep Calm and Carry On’ picture - hopefully Team England may adopt this mentality also... Come on boys - do us proud and let‘s all pray that it doesn’t go to penalties!!

FOOTBALL, FOOTBALL
We have been working with the Football Federation Australia on World Cup Lounge collateral - funnily enough, just in time for the World Cup!

This was produced and turned around so quickly that we don’t have a sample to show you just yet... As soon as we get one, we’ll blog away!

VIVA LAS VOLCANO!!
So... having got the call from Virgin Atlantic the night before we were supposed to depart for this years NAB conference in Las Vegas, we were told that we had been officially ‘Volcanoed’.

The trip was cancelled and we missed the show for 2010. The upshot of it all was that we got rescheduled for June and that we would be home in time for tea to watch the opening ceremony of the World Cup. Darren claims to have had an amazing time in Nevada where he rode the bull in Gilley’s at Treasure Island AND won BIG on the slots. In order to celebrate he took us out for a slap up meal at Denny’s - thank you Darren - $34.50 makes you a REAL playa!

May 2010

MAY-FEVER
We are currently working with GlaxoSmithKilne on a range of hayfever products which will be hitting the chemist shelves very soon... Watch this space

UP THE FOREST
We have been working on a project with photographer Laurence Dutton with good old fashioned wooden type.

We couldn’t resist making our own little message whilst he wasn’t looking!

SIMPLY BOWLED OVER
Congratulations to the England Cricket Team for winning the 20/20 World Cup in Bridgetown earlier this week.

Staying on the cricket theme we are very proud to announce that THE FOREST are currently working in partnership with McKenzie Clark with The Rose Bowl, Hampshire Cricket and Hampshire Royals on various design projects including stadium branding and wayfinding.

Thanks to our friends at Action Images

April 2010

IN THE LIME-LIGHT!
The proofs for the new Careers in Sport + Leisure brochure have just landed in the studio and are zesty-tastic.

Keep an eye out for other CSL collateral that we will be producing in the up and coming weeks...

WAY OUT WEST
Good luck to Lee Westwood who is over in Augusta for the 2010 Masters.

We know Lee is a big fan of THE FOREST and hopefully the Worksop Boy Wonder will bring home that Green Jacket!

Thanks to our friends at Action Images

THE REAL DEAL!
We just got our signed David Beckham shirt back from the framers. The shirt itself is from the 2006-2007 season which was Golden Balls’ last season with the Galactico’s where they were crowned Champions of La Liga.

Come and have a look if you think your’e hard enough...

March 2010

EL CLASSICO!
THE FOREST were back in La Manga courtesy of LeadersinFootball for a weekend of football, networking and karaoke!

Darren and Karl were hand picked to play for Input Media and SportFive respectively to show off their silky skills. Input Media unfortunatley bombed out in the preliminaries, however, an inspired controversial hat-trick by Karl helped the SportFive team all the way to semis.

It was clear to see that their midfield general (drafted in from Liverpool F.C.) was heavily missed due to an earlier injury. The team were beaten convincingly by Supponor who went on to win the tournament on penalties.

To top off a great day on and off the pitch, Karl picked up ‘Best Goal Celebration’ at the Awards Dinner later on that night - Great Balls of Fire!

ALIVE, ALIVE-O
As we recently started working with pmp legacy, we were invited to their annual conference - Legacy Lives at the Raddison Edwardian, New Providence Wharf.

Although it took us a lifetime to get there, the conference itself was really informative and the collateral we designed & produced looked great.

IT'S A FAMILY AFFAIR...
We have just completed the identity and brand guidelines for Hazelwoods Solicitors & Mediators. Working closely with their team, we are helping them roll out their new brand over stationery, advertisements, corporate literature and website.

WE WANT BREW!
Calling all placements and Junior Designers... we are on the look out for talented individuals.

Please send through your CV for the attention of Linda Edwards at our normal address.

GREEN ARRRRMY!
Darren turned out once again for P.A.S.A.L.B. F.C. (Plymouth Argyle Supporters London Branch) in Division Two of ‘APFSCIL’ (THE ASSOCIATION OF PROVINCIAL FOOTBALL SUPPORTERS’ CLUBS IN LONDON) this weekend, beating Exeter City 4-0, unfortunately not officially getting on the score sheet this week, although claims the ball did brush past him when they went four up from a corner. Next week Blackburn away, well not so far north it’s actually in Chiswick, West London.

February 2010

SIMPLY FAB-ULOUS...
Friday was an amazing day here at THE FOREST. We were invited by our friends at LeadersinPerformance to an intimate interview with England Coach, Fabio Capello.

Steering well clear of players, WAGS and all the jazz, James Worrall, CEO of Executive Sport interviewed Mr. Capello for around 45 minutes and touched on topics such as passion, drive and motivation within football.

Mr. Capello wouldn’t talk about his tactics for winning the World Cup in June but but we wished him all the best afterwards over champagne!

INFORM NINE - HOT OFF THE PRESS
The latest issue of INFORM magazine for The Institute for Sport, Parks & Leisure is OUT! The main topics for this issue are Workforce and Learning & Development. Above a a few selected spreads. Issue Ten will soon be on its way which will focus on Membership and Ambassadorship.

CONSTRUCTION TIME AGAIN
So... we find out the day before that we have tickets to see Depeche Mode at the O2. Whoop!

Leave in plenty of time to get there but hadn’t encountered the Jubilee Line NOT working and having to go to Stratford and then get a replacement bus via Canning Town and West Ham.

Post concert, having missed half of it, we stand in a queue to get the replacement bus back for near on two hours. Finally get to Stratford to be informed we have missed the last tube.

Never mind, only another £32 in a cab to get back to SW London... Everything counts in large amounts!

INTERNATIONAL BRIGHT YOUNG THINGS
We have been working with BOTH The Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games and the Singapore Sports Council on their event branding for Legacy Lives, hosted by pmp genesis.

WE DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU HEARD ABOUT ME, BUT WE ARE WORKING WITH PMP...
We recently started working with pmp legacy on collateral for their up and coming Legacy Lives event based in London on 3 - 5 March 2010 at the Raddison Edwardian, New Providence Wharf.

Here is the concertina brochure we designed for them which will be handed out on their stand (that we also designed) at the event.

NICE ICE, BABY
Whilst talking a tourist-esque walk through Leichester-shire Square on the weekend were we able to see a repeat of the opening ceremony of the 16th Winter Olympics held in Vancouver, Cananda.

Originally held in Chamonix, France (where Karl tells us he has also competed for Great Britain) in 1924.

During the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games, approximately 2,500 will compete in 15 sports and over 86 separate medal events.

Good Luck Team GB - bring us back a pair of gloves!

JOB, JOB, JOBBING ALONG (NICELY)...
THE FOREST have just completed the branding for the 2010 instalment of Careers in Sport + Leisure, starting by giving the website a facelift.

The task in hand for 2010 was to build and develop what we produced for the inaugural event which was based in 2009 at the Sheffield Arena.

2010 sees the event move to the International Centre, Telford and will take place in November.

Between now and then, we will be working closely with our friends at 110% to deliver posters, flyer, sales brochures and even more event branding than the last time.

C... SL you in Telford!

INFORM 8 IS OUT
Happy New Year, Happy New INFORM!

Here are a couple of new spreads taken from the latest issue of INFORM that we design and produce for The Institute for Sport, Parks & Leisure.

Having just returned back from ISPAL HQ, we can confirm that work has already begun on the content for the next four issues for 2010. We can also confirm that it is warmer at ISPAL than it is in THE FOREST and there is less snow!

December 2009

SOCK IT TO 'EM...
So as every good design company will tell you, the best time to start the company Christmas Card is about 2 weeks before it is supposed to go out.

This year we 'technically' broke the mould.

Six weeks prior we had been on a hunt to find some novelty sock with christmas trees on them - should be simple enough right? Wrong!

We searched high and low - including the Leather Lane street market sock man, who had a brain wave and asked us 'Have you tried looking online?'

When we told him yes, he took our name and said 'I know a man in the North. There are all kind of socks up that way. Give me your number and I'll get back to you.'

We gave him our number and returned to the studio completley 'socked off!'

When asked by The Dazzler (the other Darren in the studio) why we were so upset, he said he couldn't believe we couldn't find any... At the point we told him we had spent six weeks looking on the internet he typed in 'tree socks' into our favourite search engine and found these bad boys.

34 pairs in St. Albans - Thank you magic elf - Ruth
25 pairs in Brixton
5 pairs in Putney
16 pairs on The Strand
28 pairs in Guildford - Thank you magic elf - Afro Dave
14 pairs in Canary Wharf - Thank you magic elf - Clive
11 pairs in Oxford Street
and 6 pairs in Clapham Junction later, we returned to the studio were Santa's Little Helper sprinkled them magic dust and sent them to all the good little girl and boy clients.

The naughty little girl and boys clients missed out. Nothing to do with us, but rules are rules.

We would like to thank ALL our clients, friends and family for all your support in 2009. Fingers, arms and legs crossed that 2010 will be far better.

Merry Christmas from all at THE FOREST including the magic elves.

IT’S FRIDAY NIGHT, IT’S LONDON TOWN...
The last day in the studio was pretty manic to say the least. Not only did Karl’s new Vestax VCI-300 arrive, but he had to dash to Brown Sugar in order to play a 90 minute set. Admitedley ‘playing a few bangers FAR TOO early’, we were very impressed with his A Tribe called Quest selection.

Straight after, it was off to the HMV Forum to see Shed Seven where DJ Forest met his hero Rick Witter at the aftershow party. Rock n roll Karl, Rock n Roll!

2009 BOARD MEETING
Its that time of year again where we jet off to Tignes, France for the annual (snow) Board Meeting and staff Christmas Party!

Not everyone from the studio could make it this year but we thought it only fair to go anyway.

November 2009

TOP OF THE TABLE!
We recentley got an invite to the Chelsea Pitch Owners Annual Lunch 2009 - funnily enough at Chelsea Football Club!

Apart from kicking it with Tore Andre Flo, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Dennis Wise, Ron 'Chopper' Harris, Scott Minto and England Captain, John Terry, we spent most of the day with our friends Joanna and Ben from Alexander Ross and Kerrie and Jules at Chelsea FC and just wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you for their kind invitation.

Karl also managed to bump into his old pal, Terry Venables inbetween courses. They managed to keep it brief as neither of them wanted their trifle to get cold?!?

MOST EXCELLENT
ISPAL have launcehed a new programme designed to support the continued drive for greater entrepreneurial skills and expertise.

We have created the identity for the 'The Excellence in Entrepreneurship' programme and will consist of eight intensive half day seminars covering the core subject areas.

WE'RE ALL OF TO SUNNY SPAIN, A VIVA LA MANGA...
We are just back from La Manga having spent a few days with the LeadersinFootball team reviewing the past year and how we move forward for 2010.

It wasn't all work, work, work mind you - we got a chance to relax in beautiful surroundings, play tennis (moving on Darren) and playing football on pitches that have hosted some of the best players in the world - Andy Rice included.

Many thanks to Leadersinfootball for inviting us and proving even more that we are valued member of their team.

SSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! A whopping 7 new design books arrived today for our creative corner within our library at THE FOREST. We want to sit and read them but we are far too busy...

TYPICAL! You wait for one SUMO and two come at once! (see September). We are currently working with SUMO Investments - initially on their Christmas card however, we are sure there are much BIGGER things to come...

October 2009

IN THE SPOTLIGHT AT LEADERSINFOOTBALL
Members of THE FOREST squad, namely Karl, Darren, Natasha and Nina turned out at Stamford Bridge for LeadersinFootball and LeadersinPerformance.

TV celebrity Karl tells us that this isn't the first time he had appeared on SKY, BBC and ITV although he won't give anymore away...

Click here to see our LeadersinFootball/Performance showcase...

NEARLY TIME FOR KICK OFF
LeadersinFootball and LeadersinPerfermance are nearly upon us. We thought we would give you a sneak preview of our event branding that you will see all over the place at Chelsea F.C.

We would also like to take the opportunity to say many thanks to our friends at ICON Display for their production skills and putting our designs in a league of their own...

September 2009

A LOAD OF SIXES AND SEVENS
Here are some of the feature spreads taken from INFORM 6 and 7. The two issues focus primarily on Parks and Local Authorities respectively.

The spreads shown here reiterate how fresh we are allowed to keep INFORM on behalf of ISPAL. Its hard to believe that the first edition which was designed from scratch was send out nearly two years ago.

Keep an eye out for the bumper edition which should be out just in time for Christmas depending on whether you have been good or not!

LET'S BOWL, DUDE
We have just got back from a night of singing and bowling with our client, Lewis Silkin. The Chancery Lane crew were all over the karaoke - obviously we can't mention names but they know who they are... Take That and party!

LIGHTS, CAMERA... ACTION
We are VERY PROUD to announce that we are working with Action Images on various marketing communications projects starting with HTML Email newsletters - BACK of the net!

A pint of your best Irn-Bru please landlord!

July 2009

IN THE LEAD
The sales brochure proofs for LeadersinFootball 2009 have just come into the studio for our approval. Once printed, the brochure will be circulated worldwide, hoping to generate even more delegates and exhibitors than last year...

Just thought you may like to know that our telephone number has changed to 020 7099 1812. Not much point telling you about the website as you are looking at it. We'd love any feedback. Tell us what you reckon by clicking here...

June 2009

WHAT A PERFORMANCE
We have been helping our friends at Executive Sport with their latest event, LeadersinPerformance. The event will be part of the LeadersinFootball conference at Chelsea Football Club in October later this year and as you can see we are on-side by a mile with the existing branding.

May 2009

SUBLIMINAL MESSAGE?
Thanks to Lewis Silkin, the PS3 in the studio has now been getting threats of going wondering unless certain people here get pay rises... Times are tough at the moment so hopefully, the new issue of newsnotes will keep them quiet.

HORSES FOR COURSES
Our favourite client took us to the gee gee's earlier this month for some sensational racing and nose bag. Out of 12 races, we won (THE FOREST) a whopping £2.50. Yes, that's right... £2.50! We weighed into a top class, SW London night club in order to spend our winnings.

WE'RE FOLLOWING THE LEADER...
The new LeadersinFootball website has been launched - hooray. We even made it into Design Week - Double Hooray! The new branding will continue to be rolled out in the build up to the event at Chelsea FC in October...

April 2009

BOOM, BOOM, POW!

The new collateral for the ISPAL National Conference has just landed in the studio. Inspiring a More Active Society is a two day conference based near Warwick and will have an array of top quality speakers from the Sports and Leisure sector.

I'LL BE BACK
Krizstian Timar is not only known as 'The Beast from Budapest' but cleverly as 'The Timarnator' (get it!?!?). Darren has been inspired to make a cult t-shirt to sell to his fellow Argyle supporters. Kriz liked them so much, he wears them under his matchday jersey, seen here hanging in the dressing room of the Emirates Stadium.

GOL, GOL, GOL, GOL, GOL AND GOL!
Still on the football tip, Darren is back from a weekend of culture in the city of Barcelona. He was lucky enough to get tickets to the game to see Barca smash SIX past Malaga. Bueno... We also got a new fridge magnet - Si Claro, Amigo!

December 2008

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE FOREST
If we know you, you've probably just recieved our Christmas card. Here is a little movie showing you how to use it just incase there is any confusion.

We would like to thank our family, our friends and most importantly, our clients for helping us get this far.

Merry Christmas...

TOP OF THE TREE
We have just had the LeadersinFootball Christmas Card delivered to the studio. Back of the net!

THE FOREST CHRISTMAS BOARD MEETING
Rather than an hour on the London Eye or scampi and chips at the local Wetherspoons for the works do, we decided that a face full of snow in Tignes, France would be far better. Everyone from the studio came along apart from Paul's bag, who decided a weekend in Gatwick airport was far more RAD!

INFORM 4
The latest BUMPER edition of INFORM has been mailed out to it's members just in time for Christmas. The issue focuses on the run up to London 2012 and is packed with energetic articles. Run Forest, Run!

November 2008

October 2008

STAND UP IF YOU LOVE (OUR) DESIGN!
In order to give us some clout at LeadersinFootball this month, we have created a consertina showcase of our work to dish out to attendees. It cleverly turns into a scarf just incase you need to show your colours.

Please feel free to come and have a go if you think our designs are nice enough!

THE FOREST PLAY AT CHELSEA!
We have been busy down at Stamford Bridge for the inaugral LeadersinFootballl conference. We were very proud sponsors of the workshop area where young Karl got to meet his hero, David Beckham. It wasn't until our boss arrived that he realised that David was unreal and larger than life on and off the pitch!

Many thanks to LeadersinFootball and Action Images for allowing us to use their imagery.

AND THEN, UNLIKE GARY LINEKER, WE GOT BOOKED :(
Our direct mail piece consisted of two business cards in a black referee style wallet which went down a storm. We got booked quite a few times and NOT sent away for an early bath. Our particulars where taken down in the handy note pad.

September 2008

IT MARS BE PARTY TIME!
The Golden Ticket has just arrived in the studio to the annual Lewis Silkin Litigation party. Apparently, there is going to be lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of chocolate all over the place. Hopefully we'll get the real thing and not just the printer's sample. - that way - 'Everyone's a winner baby, that's the truth!'

SING WHEN YOU'RE NOT QUEUING!
We have been working on a series of press ads for stadium ticketing specialists, Stadiacard. Hopefully, we scored a couple of crackers with their team.

August 2008

We have just finished the identity for Careers in Sport and Leisure. CSL are planning a full on conference at the Sheffield Arena later on this year where they plan to give graduates talks/workshops and general advice on how to cut it in the sports and leisure industry.

WE STILL LOVE ME!
London Calling 2008, last week, was back - bigger than ever at Earl's Court. We were asked by Lewis Silkin to develop last year's idea even further as it was such a hit! We opted for an audio casette case to hold the memory stick and an inlay which contained tracks like 'Don't you want ME', 'Don't you forget about ME' and 'Call ME'.

What with even more badges and T-shirts we thought the whole stand was top of the pops!

May 2008

ACE!
Adventure Island Mini Golf has finally opened at Star City, Birmingham. After working with 110% Marketing on the project, both companies attended the launch along with the Breakfast Show from Heart FM.

Competitive bosses Karl and Jay went toe to toe. Although, Jay went round with a better score, there was abit of controversy, what with the rubber balls popping out of the holes from time to time, but hey... the client always wins... right!?!?

JUMP TO IT...
The material for the ISPAL National Conference for the Sports and Active Leisure Sector has just come back from the printers. Apparently, we're not the only ones jumping for joy!

INFORMER STORMER!
The 2nd issue of ISPAL has just been sent out to it's ever increasing base of members. This issue concentrates on the future of British rowing and Indoor facilities for outdoor sports respectively.

DO YER WANNA BE IN MY GANG?
We have just finished producing the Corporate Membership lbrochure for the Institute for Sport, Parks & Leisure.

YOU'VE GOT MAIL
Lewis Silkin recentley asked us to redesign a series of email templates. Using their current branding, we applied our designs to their existing CMS so that new emails could be generated and sent out easily.

BANKING ON US!
We will be working on a project with Kleinwort Benson, recently awarded Best Private Bank 2008 by readers of the FT and Investors Chronicle, to design their regional newsletter.

The newsletter will be sent to their networks of professional partners in the regions where Kleinwort Benson has offices and will update them regularly on KB's views on the financial markets and investment products.

April 2008

WHO ATE ALL THE PIES?
You could say that we are becoming rather greedy here at THE FOREST what with all the football related work that is currently going through the studio.

Well, we have just been appointed brand guardians for Executive Soccer International.

We will be working closely with them to produce both their online and offline collateral which will be used to launch the event based in Chelsea Village sometime this year...

IPHONY
"I'm NOT buying one."
"I don't see why I should have to change networks."
"I'll get an unlocked one!"
"Who cares about visual voicemail."
"I'm waiting until they bring the new one out."

If we had a pound for everytime Karl has said one of the above since November, we reckon we would have had about £700 which could have been spent on a new spray booth AND a Xyron machine...

So, on the weekend, he went, he saw, he got excited. He plugged it onto his mac. To be told that if he wanted to keep his original number then he would need a PAC code from Orange. 5 days later - he is still waiting. All he can do is slide the button across...

Karl officially has the most expensive door stopper in the world - but hey - at least its designed by Apple...

JUST DO IT ORANGE, YEAH?
We have just completed the internal corporate guidelines for lawyers Lewis Silkin. Just to point out - No - they didnt come in their own special mug, however, THAT would have been a nice idea. Maybe we can lend them the one we have in the studio if they ever need reminding...

March 2008

KEEPING YOU INFORMED
Just to let you know, that the inaugural members publication INFORM has landed on 3,000 of ISPAL's members doormats.

We would like to take the opportunity to congratulate everyone at ISPAL for all their hard work over the last 5 weeks in order to help make this 48 page magazine happen.

February 2008

ME, ME, ME, ME, ME, ME, ME
The Media and Entertainment (ME) stuff we did for Lewis Silkin at last years London Calling has had a bit of a write up in this months 'The Marketer' magazine. Many thanks to everyone involved for making us look good! Click here to read the full article >

December 2007

NYC, YA!
Whilst being on a 'research' project, yet again, young Karl has been kicking it with his celebrity friends. After having a word with his pal Gordon (see November 2006), he decided to pop into The London, NYC to dine in style (are we paying for this Karl?!?) with his old mucker, restaurant director, Jean-Baptiste. JB was so over the moon to see Karl, he even served the first course to his table in person...

November 2007

We have just completed the identity for the FUTURE OF FOOTBALL - THE CONFERENCE 2007 which was lauched at The London Marriott, Grosvenor Square and was attended by Sir Alex Ferguson, Randy Lerner, Sam Allardyce to name a few PLUS our very own Karl Hudson.

We were responsible for the identity, marketing collateral, website and an HTML newsletter.

September 2007

CUP OF TEA AND A SLICE OF CAKE...
So let me get this right... Bake a cake, get some orange candles, take the picture and use it on an ad?? That's what Lewis Silkin asked us to do in order to help them celebrate Haymarket's 50th birthday. It was a piece of cake... We didnt get any mind you :(

CHEESY PICTURE!
This month, THE FOREST welcomes it's first overseas student placement. Manuela hails from the country of cheese, fondue and of course, Toblerone. We are also being extra nice to Manulea on the strength of she may be able to pull strings for tickets to next years European Championship where England, will of course, walk it...

ALL CHANGE
Just to let you know that we have now moved from our studio in swish Clapham Common to our new, super cool studio in Farringdon. Come and see us - we'll make you a brew...

August 2007

STATE OF THE NATION
Straight in at the deep end with 110% Marketing, we have produced 'over the pond' UK marketing collateral for Soccer Nation in Los Angeles. Seeing as David Beckham has got in on the act - why can't we? Just so you know, our deal ISN'T worth $250 million dollars over five years... Close though!

ACE!
We are working with Adventure Mini Golf on a series of identities for their up and coming mini golf site at Star City in Birmingham. Par-fect!

July 2007

ON ME DESK SON...
We have just received our copy of Refereeing which we have produced with the Football Association. As there was an opportunity to change the format slighty, we introduced monotone images in order to keep with the ref theme. Black and white and read all over...

NEW BALLS PLEASE!
The new version of Newsnotes has just been served up at Lewis Silkin - just in time for Wimbledon - Ace!

ACE!
We have just produced the identity for 110% Marketing who we will be working with closely on a number of projects in the near future. Watch this space...

HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY
We recentley turned two - hoorah! We would like to take the opportunity to say a massive thank you to our friends, family and most importantly - our clients (after all, they do pay our wages!!). Obviously, we celebrated in style by spending our birthday money on some new stationery. We hope you like our birthday cards... And yes, before you ask, they are all different!

OH RIGHT... YOU JUST NIPPED...
It was NAB time again recently - well that's what Karl said... To us it's that wonderful time of year when we get given the sacred fridge magnet. He was so thrilled to be 'kicking it' with Vince Vaughan in Foundation at Mandalay Bay, that he 'forgot' to ask for a picture...

I guess these will have to do... Unbelieveable!

INSPIRING EVE REVEALS ALL
Inspiring Eve finally launched at One Life Live, Olympia, this month. The event had 16,000 visitors through the doors in three days; Olympia Grand Hall was packed with people who wanted to change their lives.

The Inspiring Eve team asked women from all walks of life to scribble on their walls and 'Tell us what you were doing when you last felt great about yourself'.

The images above are taken from their Feel Good Gallery project, from Lila who was four, to Jane who was eighty, sharing their jelly and ice-cream and Shrek 2 tales respectively.

ALRIGHT BIG BOY... YES !
Karl tells us that he bumped into his old mate Gordon the other lunchtime in Clapham. When we asked Karl what banter had gone on - we were told he had been invited round to his house for dinner. Funnily enough when we asked the big man, Gordon simply replied 'F off!'

We found out today that our 4th attempt of trying to get tickets to watch England play in Germany had failed :(

So as from today, we are on a mission to drink as much Budweiser as possible and buy loads of things on our Mastercards and buy a Toshiba television and shave with Gilette razors!

You get the idea...

May 2006

SLICE OF THE ACTION
THE FOREST have created the identity and collateral for a new Italian style coffee shop. Apparently, the first 50 customers through the door will be offered FREE coffee for life should Italy win the World Cup - safe bet there then...

CONGRATULATIONS SHAYNE!
We can finally get back to doing some work here at THE FOREST as the X Factor came to an end on Saturday night where Shayne became the victorious winner after beating Andy and Journey South in the final. We wish him well in the future and look forward to him colaborating with Brenda VERY SOON! Now when does Big Brother start again..?

TOO FAR! FACT
He's finally gone too far... Young Karl has only applied for THE X FACTOR AND GOT AN AUDITION!!!!

Our resident Karaoke King is thinking of getting singing lessons in order to wow Simon, Sharon and Louis.

Fingers crossed Karl - but PLEASE, can we turn off 'Flying without wings!!!!' Up the creek without a paddle more like...

NOW THAT'S A FACT
After Maria's shock departture on Saturday night from the X Factor, we have decided to run a sweep stake here at THE FOREST. Although our very own Karl Hudson has been backed by Journey South in the past, when asked what time is it? he could only reply - IT'S BRENDA TIME!

Saturday was a bad day for THE FOREST... Had we NOT have been on our Christmas do snowboarding in Chamonix, we would have been able to vote for Brenda who sadly departed the show. We love you Brenda and look forward to buying your album soon...

August 2005

SUPER SMASHING GREAT...
Celebrity photographer Gavin Smith was in need of a website in order to showcase his stunning portfolio. A couple of people here at THE FOREST were slightly disappointed that he STILL doesn't have studio hero and legend, Jim Bowen under his belt. If nothing else - it would have made our title slightly more relevant!

July 2005

NAB 2005 – Las Vegas
THE FOREST attended this years National Association of Broadcasters, held in Las Vegas. After 8 whole days in Nevada, our very own, Karl Hudson said that the R and R spent in the Bellagio AND The Venitian was well earned. He also tells us that he won BIG on the tables. The fridge magnet we recieved upon his return, obviously proves otherwise.

March 2005

After producing an identity for Soho based photographer, Carl Lyttle, THE FOREST were asked to put his 'rather large' portfolio of pretty pictures on the world wide web - WOOF!
