SOCK IT TO 'EM...
So as every good design company will tell you, the best time
to start the company Christmas Card is about 2 weeks before
it is supposed to go out.
This year we 'technically' broke the mould.
Six weeks prior we had been on a hunt to find some novelty
sock with christmas trees on them - should be simple enough
right? Wrong!
We searched high and low - including the Leather Lane
street market sock man, who had a brain wave and asked us
'Have you tried looking online?'
When we told him yes, he took our name and said 'I know a
man in the North. There are all kind of socks up that way.
Give me your number and I'll get back to you.'
We gave him our number and returned to the studio
completley 'socked off!'
When asked by The Dazzler (the other Darren in the studio)
why we were so upset, he said he couldn't believe we
couldn't find any... At the point we told him we had spent six
weeks looking on the internet he typed in 'tree socks' into our
favourite search engine and found these bad boys.
34 pairs in St. Albans - Thank you magic elf - Ruth
25 pairs in Brixton
5 pairs in Putney
16 pairs on The Strand
28 pairs in Guildford - Thank you magic elf - Afro Dave
14 pairs in Canary Wharf - Thank you magic elf - Clive
11 pairs in Oxford Street
and 6 pairs in Clapham Junction later, we returned to the
studio were Santa's Little Helper sprinkled them magic dust
and sent them to all the good little girl and boy clients.
The naughty little girl and boys clients missed out. Nothing to
do with us, but rules are rules.
We would like to thank ALL our clients, friends and
family for all your support in 2009. Fingers, arms
and legs crossed that 2010 will be far better.
Merry Christmas from all at THE FOREST including
the magic elves.
IT’S FRIDAY NIGHT, IT’S LONDON TOWN...
The last day in the studio was pretty manic to say the least.
Not only did Karl’s new Vestax VCI-300 arrive, but he had to dash to
Brown Sugar in order to play a 90 minute set. Admitedley
‘playing a few bangers FAR TOO early’, we were very
impressed with his A Tribe called Quest selection.
Straight after, it was off to the HMV Forum to see Shed
Seven where DJ Forest met his hero Rick Witter at the
aftershow party. Rock n roll Karl, Rock n Roll!
2009 BOARD MEETING
Its that time of year again where we jet off to Tignes, France for the annual (snow) Board Meeting and staff Christmas Party!
Not everyone from the studio could make it this year but we thought it only fair to go anyway.
