Lewis Silkin is a successful law firm based in the City of London. They pride themselves on being a 'rather more human law firm' which gives us the opportunity to approach their design briefs in a slightly different way.

London Calling 2008

"I've worked with THE FOREST on a variety of projects and they always deliver on time and on budget, with fantastic creativity and attention to the smallest detail.

Thanks to them we have gained national press coverage on the back of our marketing communications materials as well as engaging so well with our target audience that we have directly won new clients. In these challenging times it's great to know you can rely on a creative force to deliver to your bottom line.

I just hope they don't become so successful that they don't want to work with us anymore!"

London Calling is the UK's biggest trade conference and exhibition for the international music industry. Now firmly established as an important new annual destination for the global music industry, Lewis Silkin wanted to be a HIT! at Earl's Court.

Taking the 'I Love ME' theme forward for 2008, we decided to go back to the Eighties and produce a cassette and LP style mailer called 'That's what we call ME' featuring the hits 'Call me', 'Do you really want to hurt me' and 'Don't leave me this way'. We also produced a set of fluro badges and a range of Lewis SIlkin branded t-shirts.

Party Invites

Chocolate Party
The choclate party invite was solved by suggesting a Willy Wonka/Golden Ticket style invite. Produced using gold foil, the invite was copywritten using the names of chocolate bars. Aren't we a bunch of smarties pants...

Gangster Party
The Litigation team wanted a 'Prohibition' style party where drinks for grown ups would be served from teapots and drank from china cups just incase they got rumbled! We came up with a personalised Bugsy Malone themed invite. Rather than it saying 'Tell Babyface, tell Babyface, tell Babyface', the recipients name was used instead. The last image being a gangster (for boys) or Moll (for girls) sillhouette saying 'Hang on a minute... I am (recipent). Kapisch?

Private Lunch
Very simple, this one. An invitation to eat lunch and listen to guest speaker, the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, Andy Burnham.

I love Media and Entertainment
(ME)

When Lewis Silkin asked us to help them promote their Media and Entertainment department, we first needed to give them an identity that reflected their client base. We thought the message 'I love me' was very apt for media types darling.

We then decided to go with a pharmacuetical style mailer which consisted of a sealed pill pot containing a memory stick, (medical) instuctions and cotton wool. The key message was to Take ME - for all your media headaches!

"Ingenious, Inimitable and Innovative... Karl and his genius team at The Forest are business minded, client-focussed and maddeningly talented. I genuinely enjoy working with them, they understand the essence of true design and they make me and my team look great."
